WELCOME

Hello and welcome to the home of Hyde Little Theatre. We are an award winning amateur dramatic society based in Hyde, Tameside and we were established in 1967.

We produce a range of high quality, affordable and accessible theatre productions each year. In addition to this, we have a Youth Theatre of over 100 participants, meeting every Tuesday and Thursday at our home, Studio 9, located at the top of Market Street, Hyde.

More recently, we are extremely excited to also provided a range of community activities from Studio 9, to provide interactive sessions for all sections of the community and all ages. We are proud to be the home of ‘Theatre in the Community’

BE PART OF HLT

We are always on the lookout for volunteers. Our volunteers are often the smiling, welcoming faces of HLT, the first people that people accessing our sessions or performances will meet.

The first person an audience member is likely to meet is one of our Front of House volunteers. The volunteer’s role is to help provide all our patrons with a fantastic experience.

Volunteers are able to fulfil a wide range of roles including: checking tickets, showing customers to their seats, sitting in on performances and selling programmes, merchandise and raffle tickets.

We also need chaperones, back stage crew, technical crew, costume makers, props staff, actors and actresses, people with excellent organisational skills, directors, musician’s, choreographers, drivers, people who can brew up and anyone else who would like to come and join us!

Volunteering provides an excellent opportunity to meet lots of likeminded people, both customers and volunteers, who all share an interest in theatre so we’re told it’s a great way to make lots of new friends.
